As a senior woman, I found the accessibility of the cottage to be excellent. The pathways were well-maintained and the layout of the cottage made it easy for me to move around without any issues. Lovely garden with swing ball for outdoor fun. Warm and welcoming owner, made us feel right at home. Great location, with nearby villages, harbours, and castles to explore. A beautiful area that we'll definitely be returning to.

If I had to suggest one improvement for a better vacation experience for senior people, it would be to have some handrails installed in the cottage's hallways and near the main entrance. These small additions would provide extra support and ensure a safer stay for older guests.

The bathrooms at Buttermere Cottage were absolutely amazing! The showers with rainfall showerheads made me feel like I was standing under a soothing waterfall. The complimentary toiletries were a nice touch, and the hair dryer saved me from packing my own. It truly added a touch of luxury to my stay.

Personally, I found the lack of coffee/tea makers and irons/ironing boards in the rooms a bit inconvenient. But hey, that's just me.
